I am looking at data from Panama 2010, Brazil 2010, and Venezuela 2001. I can’t seem to find the units for the total income variable. Are they in local currency? Or are they standardized to USD?
The IPUMS-International variable INCTOT gives values as they were originally reported at the time of the survey in the currency of the census country. More detailed information is available in the INCTOT Comparability section.
