Racial frequencies for women veterans 2015 NHIS

I am using data from the 2015 NHIS. Using SPSS 25, women veterans were filtered. The problem I am having is getting the racial frequencies because there are two separate categories: OMB groups w/multiple races (n =1,235) and Hispanic sub group detail (n = 1,235). Additionally, the Hispanic sub group a category that is other than Hispanic that most of the respondents selected. It is confusing to me. Any clarification you could provide would be greatly appreciated. Please see the attachment.

Unfortunately, because categories that are specifically of Hispanic ethnicity are not included in the race variables (RACEA, RACESR, RACENEW, RACEBR), I would suggest that you create a cross-tabulation between your race variable of interest and either HISPETH or HISPYN. For example, if you crosstab HISPETH and RACENEW, you will be able to identify Hispanic ethnicity by self-reported race.

I hope this helps.
