Can anyone please point me to a mutually exclusive race and hispanic origin variable, if it exists?
ie White, nonhispanic etc. Thanks so muc
IPUMS USA does not currently include such a variable. Individual researchers could create this on their own by combining the RACE and HISPAN variables. As with any analyses of specific subsamples of the population, I encourage you to look at the unweighted sample sizes for these groups as some of the cell counts are fairly small depending on other selection criteria.
