I am trying to use IPUMS to measure family structure. Struggling with the RELATE variable. I have downloaded my samples and cant find the variable in the dataset. Is there a way to measure youth (15-24) in polygamous households?
In summary, i am looking for how to get family structure (could be living arraangent, family size) of youth in the dataset.
