Hello! I’m hoping to use 2023 1-year ACS PUMS. According to the Census website, it was scheduled to be released yesterday. When will it be available? 2023 Data Release Schedule

You’re correct that the 2023 1-year microdata PUMS file was released by the Census Bureau yesterday (10/17/24). Now that the data are available we will work to ingest it into our system, though timing on when we release exactly can vary depending on how comparability between the new data and the older samples affects our harmonization process. Last year we published the 2022 ACS microdata sample via IPUMS USA in mid-November (see the IPUMS USA revision history for more details or dates of past 1-year ACS releases) and we expect the timeline to be similar this year.
We also plan to publish 2023 1-year ACS tabular summary data via IPUMS NHGIS in late November (see the IPUMS NHGIS revision history for more details of past 1-year ACS releases).
We will announce the releases promptly via the revision history pages and X (Twitter); we will also email IPUMS users when the data are available.
