When might the 2022 ACS be available?
I will just share what helps for me… The Census data release schedule:
I expect IPUMS to take some time on their end to do their “magic,” but this would probably be the best rough timeline.
We anticipate that the Census Bureau will release the 2022 ACS 1-year public use microdata file, which we distribute via IPUMS USA, on October 19th. Thank you to Chris for sharing the Census data release schedule. I am also sharing the Census Bureau 2022 ACS release schedule here for reference. We work to integrate the data quickly, though timing can vary. Last year we released the 2021 ACS microdata sample via IPUMS USA in late November (see the IPUMS USA revision history).
For users interested in the summary data, which we distribute via IPUMS NHGIS, the Census Bureau released those files on September 14th. We anticipate releasing these data via IPUMS NHGIS by early December.
New samples are announced on the revision history page and in an email to all registered IPUMS users.
