I realize that something like this was asked in early October but a colleague of mine will soon go on paternity leave and needs to know if he will be able to complete a project with 2022 data before that happens. Question: when do you predict the IPUMS 2022 Microdata will be available?
The Census Bureau released the 2022 ACS 1-year public use microdata file, which we distribute via IPUMS USA, on October 19th. The IPUMS USA team is working to integrate the data quickly, though timing can vary. Last year we released the 2021 ACS microdata sample via IPUMS USA in late November (see the IPUMS USA revision history). I am not able to provide a more specific timeline for the data release at this time, but once data are released by IPUMS, it will be announced on the IPUMS USA revision history page and in an email to all registered IPUMS users.
