When I try to open a new syntax I can’t click on syntax. I am very new at this so does anyone know how to fix this problem?
I checked your account, and I do not see any active registrations for any of the IPUMS data collections. To create and download a data extract, you will first need to register for the data collection that you would like to create an extract from. For example, to create an IPUMS USA data extract, you would first need to register to use IPUMS USA. Once you’ve registered, you can create and download data extracts. All of our data collections offer tutorials to help you get started. For example, IPUMS USA offers many helpful tutorials and an FAQ, including this tutorial on how to use the extract system and how to open an extract in SPSS.
Please note, I am not able to provide support for the SPSS statistical software package other than to help you troubleshoot how to read in the IPUMS data.
