I go through the instructions, and when I get to “Run –> All”, nothing shows up in the data window. Is there a resolution for this? Am I doing something wrong?
I am unable to replicate your issue. I successfully ran the .sps command file for your data extract #8. The data correctly displayed in the SPSS data editor. Make sure that you edited the cd command to specify the path to the directory on your computer where your IPUMS data file is located, such as: cd “Y:\Documents\IPUMS_data”. If you leave the cd command blank, then the data will not be read in to SPSS. You should also check for any errors in your Output log.
