IPUMS International does not have 1920-1950 data for the United States. Is there another place on the IPUMS system to get this data? Is it coded similarly to the IPUMS International data for the United States?

Yes, try looking at the available data in IPUMS USA. The data in IPUMS USA are harmonized for comparability within the United States, which may slightly differ from the harmonization in IPUMS International. In general, check out IPUMS.org for a list of all IPUMS Projects.
