IPUMS data taking a long time to extract?

Hi,

I’m using ACS and 5% census samples from 2014 to 1980 with only a few variables. It has been over three hours and the data is still extracting. I’m a new user to IPUMS and was wondering if it is supposed to take this long to extract?

The wait time mostly depends on the current demand on our servers. IPUMS USA extracts of a reasonable size should process within an hour or so. At times, when there are many pending extract requests, this wait time can extend to a couple of hours or more. In any event, it looks like all of your current extracts have finished processing.
