I want to look at the relationship between income and education, However I encounter so many missing data?

I selected samples for the last 10 years using the ACS 3 and year samples. I selected very few variables including educ sex race age incwage. I would like to regress educ on incwage. When I do this there are too few observations (n=9), what am I doing wrong?

It may be the case that your data extract was not fully extracted onto your computer before you began working with the data. Try re-downloading the data and ensuring that it fully unzips; it looks like your extract may be a bit on the larger side, so it may take a few minutes.

Otherwise, if you still have a lot of missing data, could you share any additional data manipulations you are running before your regression(s)? You can either post them here or email ipums@umn.edu.
