I am interested in the UK historical full-count censuses with names for a research project. Is there an application procedure (through IPUMS or otherwise) to obtain access to such datasets?

In most cases, as per our agreement with national statistical offices that collaborate with us to distribute data, IPUMS International prohibits the use of the data to identify individuals; this includes suppression of names. There are a couple of exceptions, such as our 1851 UK sample that includes names. Users who hope to access restricted versions of the data or information beyond what we offer on IPUMS International may want to reach out to the original data provider.
