Hi, what have you learned about the impact of the government shutdown on this Fall’s 1YR ACS release (of the 2024 survey data)?
We don’t know anything definitive about the ACS 1-Year PUMS, but anticipate a delay. We just published a blog post about how the shutdown does/doesn’t affect IPUMS that has a bit more information.

I see that the 2024 ACS 1-year sample is now released, but was wondering if the 2024 5-year is also going to be released? Thanks so much for your help
The 2024 5-year public use microdata sample (PUMS) has not yet been released by the Census Bureau. It is scheduled to be released on March 5, 2026. IPUMS will work quickly to harmonize, integrate and release the 2024 5-year data once they become available. Please check our revision history page and your email for an announcement when we release the 5-year data.
