When will the 5-year IPUMS data come out for 2018-22
The 2018-2022 5-year ACS Public Use Microdata Sample (PUMS) was released by the Census Bureau on January 25, 2024 (see the 2022 release schedule for reference). The IPUMS US microdata team is currently working to integrate the data into our harmonized database as quickly as possible. We typically expect this to take 3-6 weeks from the release date. Once the data are available, we will update the revision history promptly and send an email to registered IPUMS users. In the meantime, you may be interested in accessing the 2018-2022 5-year ACS summary table data, which provide geographically aggregated summary measures on select topics, through IPUMS NHGIS.
