Total Income 2011 Canada Sample

I have a question abut total income (inctot) from the 2011 Canada sample. Is the inctot pretax or after tax income?

For Canada 2011, INCTOT reports pre-tax income. Details about survey questions for variables can be found on the Questionnaire Text tab. In the case of Canada 2011, the exact text used under Paid Employment was “Include: Total wages and salaries from all jobs before deductions for income tax, pensions etc. Do not report take-home pay only.”
