Merging IPUMS USA (ACS) and CPS monthly by group of households

Dear IPUMS,

Is it possible to merge CPS monthly with ACS yearly data?
I know they are different data sets and one is monthly and the other is yearly and cannot be merged fully but, yet is it possible to detect if a specific family in monthly CPS, let’s say 2013-march, is in the 2013 ACS yearly also?

The CPS and ACS are separate surveys with different target populations and sample designs; they do not interview the same households or persons. While it is theoretically possible that a household could be in both, it is unlikely and there is no way of systematically linking the household between the two surveys.
