Is there any way to match IPUMS data with Malaysia census data?
Are you referring to the binned income question for the 1980 Malaysian census (I also did not see this on the IPUMS International website and can ask our IPUMS International team about it)? Looking at the census forms for 1970-2000, I do not see any other questions about income in the questionnaire. The data available through IPUMS International are Malaysian census data; if the original questionnaire does not ask about income, then we will not include income measures in our data.
