Has anyone compiled a list of variables (for Years 2000 to present) that are similar or identical between IPUMS-USA, IPUMS-CPS, IHIS, and/or IPUMS-ATUS?
I understand that the Bureau of Labor Statistics has developed detailed instructions for linking ATUS and CPS data files and that more info is provided here: https://www.atusdata.org/atus/linking…. Does anyone know when such links will be available via IPUMS data? I understand this new feature is coming soon.
If I understand correctly, the only datasets for which direct linking (via person or household ID, etc.) is possible is CPS/ATUS. However, it would be helpful to have a list of non-ID variables (income, education, age, etc.) that are similar or identical between CPS/ATUS and IPUMS-USA and/or IHIS. Such a list could facilitate the creation of statistical (indirect) links between datasets. Has anyone created such a variable list yet?
