Hi, I am trying to join a class via a code; however, when I go to “My Classe, s“ it doesn’t show up with the dataset. Joined on Monday, not sure how long it takes for it to be processed.
We have become aware of an issue with the IPUMS International classroom account feature and are looking into it. Please email ipums@umn.edu directly and copy your instructor with details about your class so we can provided targeted support to ensure students can complete their assignments in a timely manner.
After helping another student troubleshoot and resolve this issue, it seems like the technical issue might not prevent you from accessing your class account. Specifically, it looks like your IPUMS International account has already been approved. Could you please try adding your class again?
As a reminder, to join a class, you will need to click on the “Account” link at the far top-right corner of a browser where you have IPUMS International open. You should see an option to “Join a class”. Clicking on this link will bring you to a page where you can enter your class code. After joining, you can click on “View my classes” (directly above “Join a class”).
Please try these steps and let me know if this doesn’t work.
