INCTOT and INCEARN are restricted in availability to only a few countries since many counties do not release it. Is this data uncollected, or simply suppressed and therefore obtainable with proper permissions?

The IPUMS International Team provides access to all variables provided to them by their partners in national statistical offices around the world. Therefore, in samples where INCTOT and INCEARN are not available, these variables have not been provided to the IPUMS International Team. If the questionnaire corresponding to the sample in question seems to include these variables, then the best next step is to reach out to the specific national statistical office directly. Here is a list of our partner organizations.
