I am performing chicago neighborhood research using census tract level data. I have not been able to find data that is seperated by individual tracts and have been forced to complie my own (rather small) data sets thus far. If there is a way to gather general demographic, geographic, and economic statistics for these regions I would be able to perform a more complete analysis. Your help is very much appreciated! Thanks.
If you are looking for data aggregated to the census tract level, then IPUMS NHGIS should be your best bet. Since this data is aggregated, lower geographic levels (e.g. the census tract) are identifiable. If you are looking for microdata at the census tract level then you’ll likely have to go through a research data center.
