Hi I am trying to download an extract but I am getting this error message when I try to execute the do.file
file nhis_00001.dat not found
It sounds like the working directory is not set up correctly. In situations where specifying the file path doesn’t seem to be working properly, I suggest setting up the working directory by using the drop-down menu in Stata. This will cut out any issues with an incorrect specification of the file path. Go to File > Change Working Directory, then navigate to the folder where your data files are saved.
