Is it possible to extract the data for an specific area of the country (ACCRA) using IPUMS International? I was trying to understand the household ID but it seems that it has no relation with any geographical subdivision. Is it correct?

The household ID variables do not relate to geographic area of residence, they simply serve the purpose of uniquely identifying households in a given sample. To identify specific geographic regions, you’ll need to use the geographic identification variables. Specifically, in the 2010 sample, GEO1_GH2010 identifies regions and ==003 is “Greater Accra.” Additionally, again for the 2010 sample, GEO2_GH2010 identifies districts and codes 003001 through 003010 identify various districts within Greater Accra.
