Error extracting data

When I go to extract a datafile including my specified samples and variables I get an error message stating: “It appears your session has expired or you’ve edited your cart in another window. No changes have been made.” I started my session only a few minutes ago and do not think I have left the window I am working in - any tips for troubleshooting? Thanks!

We occasionally get reports of this issue; the common thread seems to be using the Google Chrome browser. The first thing I would try is a hard browser refresh (CTRL + SHIFT + R). If this doesn’t work, I recommend trying a different browser. If neither of these works, please email ipums@umn.edu for further troubleshooting.
