For African census data files, is there a variable that captures contraceptive use as reported among men

I am not aware of any African census data files available through IPUMS International that cover contraceptive use among men. You may be interested in IPUMS DHS and IPUMS PMA, which both provide information on contraceptive use in African countries alongside other demographic information.
