Hi: When can we expect the 2024 5-year file to be released? My understanding is that IPUMS usually publishes these about 1 month after the Census Bureau does. Given the previous govt shutdown, will the release date be pushed back? Thank you!
The Census Bureau is scheduled to release the 2024 5-year ACS microdata on March 5. You are right that we typically publish our harmonized version about one month after the initial Census Bureau release. We will announce the release on our revision history page and in an email to registered IPUMS users.
