Zipcode level data

Hi all! I’m looking for ways to pull historical data (1950-1970) for a specific zipcode. I know 5 digit zipcode started being documented from 1980, in that case, how can I identify which census information from 1950 - 1970 corresponds to the zipcode? Any help is appreciated.

Unfortunately, obtaining census data from 1950-1960 at the ZIP code level is not feasible.

IPUMS NHGIS offers summary data from the U.S. census, American Community Survey, and other data sources, aggregated at a variety of geographic levels, including ZIP code and ZCTA (ZIP code tabulation area) for some years. We offer data at the ZIP code level from 1980-2002 and at the ZCTA level from 2000-present. While there are summary data from the 1970 census at the ZIP code level available from the National Archives, we do not currently offer those data on IPUMS NHGIS. Data from earlier censuses are not available at the ZIP code level, since ZIP code did not exist until after the 1960 census.
