For Dominican Republic 2010 and Vietnam 2009, when recoding the source variables into the harmonized variable “Disabled”, how do you define category “unknown” ? Thanks.
In the integrated variable DISABLED the category “unknown” simply takes the cases coded as “unknown” in the source variables. Note that although most of the source variables only have “yes” and “no” categories on their questionnaires, they also have an “unknown” category. These case could be unknown for a number of reasons, including non-response or missing data, etc.
