Are student loans and student loan amounts available in this dataset?
The datasets on IPUMS USA do not include any information on student loans. However, the IPUMS Higher Ed data project harmonizes data from the National Survey of College Graduates which includes variables related to student loans such as UGLOAN (total borrowing for undergraduate loans) and UGBAL (remaining balance from undergraduate loans).
