I am using the IPUMS CPS to estimate the state-level returns to college education. A Census Bereau staff refers that, for CPS, the ASEC individual weight variable (MARSUPWT) is controlled for state populations and may be useful. There is no info about this particular vairable on IPUMS. Is it equivalent to the ASECWT?
Yes, the ASECWT is the person-level sampling weight variable designed for use with the ASEC samples.
