Linking CPS data

Hello,

I know that many people have been able to link CPS data by CPSID but I was wondering what the process (i.e. commands) on STATA are? I am trying to replicate data from this paper " Health Insurance and the Supply of Entrepreneurs: Evidence from the ACA Medicaid Expansion" (Health Insurance and the Supply of Entrepreneurs: Evidence from the ACA Medicaid Expansion by Kyung Min Lee :: SSRN) and have struggled to successfully link the data in STATA.

Specifically I am trying to match ASEC data from 2004 to 2019 to create the one year longitudinal panels.

We have previously hosted a workshop dedicated to the process of linking CPS data. Here are a list of resources available from the workshop back in the summer of 2018. These resources include sample syntax for linking the data using Stata. Additionally, applications are available (and due by February 23) for another of these summer workshops if you’d like to attend in person.
