Is there data for land tenure in the United States around 1860?
Questions about land tenure aren’t included in the US agricultural censuses prior to 1880 (summary statistics from agricultural census data are available through IPUMS NHGIS). IPUMS USA includes a measure of real estate value (REALPROP) that may be appropriate depending on your research question.
