I was able to extract person records with both personal and household varibales, but was not able to extract household records for the household variables and person records for the personal variables. A user has options in selecting variables through “Select Variables” and in selecting data through “Selecting Samples,” but has no options in selecting record type (i.e., household versus person records).
When creating a data extract request, you have the option to change the Data Structure. The default structure attaches household information to person records (“Rectangular”); however, you can also choose to split household and person records into separate observations (“Hierarchical”) or to extract household records only.
