I am conducting cancer research by using IPUMS Health Survey data. In the analysis, it was found that racial distribution in overall data and participant who had experienced cancer before. In that case, how can I adjust this difference in Stata?
It sounds like you have a question about analyzing IPUMS Health Surveys data in Stata. Unfortunately I don’t quite understand your question. If you can provide more information and detail about what you are asking, one of our staff should be able to help with your question. Note, however, that while we can provide information and assistance related to IPUMS data and documentation, we’re unable to provide analytical guidance in most cases.
You may be asking about weights. When using IPUMS NHIS data or IPUMS MEPS data, you need to apply weights to ensure your estimates are representative and account for the complex sampling designs of these surveys. You can read about NHIS sampling weights here, and MEPS sampling weights here.
