I am attempting to create a new variable with the existing variables EDFULL and EDTYPE in CPS. Both of these variables are only available in the October sample, and I would like to use the Recode Variables tool to create a new variable.
How do I go about doing this?
Currently, only the March supplement samples are available on the IPUMS-CPS Online Data Analysis tool. The variables you are interested in can still be downloaded through the IPUMS-CPS extract engine, but they are not accessible via the online data analysis tool.
