We are planning to use the complete 1850 Census to come up with a good comparison group to analyze the age specific marriage rates of enslaved versus free blacks. I know that the 1% sample of the 1850 census includes the variable IMPSP that imputes the relationship between household members. Has this variable been created for the 100% sample for the 1850 census?
Yes, IMPSP is available for the 1850 full-count dataset. You can see for which samples a particular variable is offered under the variable’s availability tab.
