Hey guys! We’d like to harmonize/standardize Median Gross Rent at the block group level using the 5-Year ACS (so we can compare block groups in 2010 to 2020).
I understand that without access to the underlying data, a median cannot be calculated.
So what’s a good alternative to getting a standardized median value?
(Is our only option calculating a standardized mean by taking the block group’s Aggregate Gross Rent and dividing by the block group’s total population and using the wt_pop interpolation rates? Or is there some other way I’m not thinking of to get a standardized median value?)
