We use the RACESING variable in ACS 2006+ sample to estimate population totals by single race categories. We would like to extend our estimates to 2015, but it is not available in the varaible selection panel. is there any plan in place to generate this varaible and update the ACS 2015? We do plan to make RACESING available for ACS 2015 at some point in the future. If your analysis needs are more immediate, you may want to look into using the RACE variable and the crosswalk available on this page to relate the two. If you do not see the RACESING variable available for ACS 2015 in the next couple of months, feel free to send an email to ipums@umn.edu and we can update you on the status of its inclusion.
