Decennial Census Data

Greetings,

for my bachelor thesis I need access to the Decennial Census Data from 1870 onwards. The topic is differences due to ethniticity/race on the labor market in the US South. Can somebody explain to me how to gain access to these files? I have been looking for them for hours now.
