ATUS multiple observations per respondent?

Hi, my understanding is that ATUS interviewes selected households/persons only once after they have completed their 8th CPS interview. But I just read one article that says “the modeling capitalizes on the fact that the ATUS records contain three observations per respondent.” Does the ATUS include multiple observations per respondent? Thank you!
