I requested access one week ago to IPUMS International at least haven’t received any reply yet. How long should I wait? Is there some problem with the approval procedures?

Applications to access IPUMS International data are reviewed by our staff to ensure the proposed research projects are appropriate as per agreements with the original data providers. Account review and approval typically take about one week, but it can take a bit longer depending on the volume of applications and other commitments (such as the recent ISI conference). I have asked my colleague who reviews applications to look into your request to access IPUMS International data at their earliest convenience. Please email us directly at ipums@umn.edu for guidance on your specific application if you have not heard back by this Friday, July 30.
