I want to use Contingent worker supplement data (1995, 2005, and 2017) in a longitudinal fashion for my research and wonder when they will be available.
We are certainly looking forward to getting the contingent worker supplement out on IPUMS CPS. Typically, it takes us about a month to harmonize new data and release it to the public once data has been released by the BLS. In this case, however, we are not certain how long the harmonization process will take. We have not seen a codebook for the forthcoming 2017 contingent worker supplement and a big unknown is the extent to which questions have changed since the previous rounds in 2005 and 1995. Therefore, we hope to get this data out as soon as possible, but I am currently unable to accurately forecast when that will be.
