The answer suggests that IPUMS will soon have this variable. Is it available now? If so, I can’t find it.
IPUMS CPS now has the following variables available for non-ASEC samples from January 1994 on: MULTJOB, which indicates whether a respondent reported working more than one job/business in the last week, and NUMJOB, which gives the number of jobs/businesses a person worked in last week, for those who reported having more than one.
That’s for that. It turns out my problem was that I was using the wrong sample because I had seen those variables before, they just always showed no data. When I used a different sample, they populated. Thanks for the help.
