Tract-level land and water area for 1940-1960

Hello,

I am wondering if land and water area at the tract level (variables available as ALAND and AWATER in recent years) are available for earlier years; the years I am interested in are 1940-1960.

Dear Yeonhwa,

Unfortunately, we do not have land or water area at the tract level for earlier years. I’ve looked at the census tract volumes for that time period, and the Bureau never published those data. Thus, I don’t think there is a source for them.
