Applications to access IPUMS International data are reviewed by our staff to ensure the proposed research projects are appropriate as per agreements with the original data providers. Account review and approval typically take about one week.
Our agreements with our partners who provide data to IPUMS International, we need to verify the institutional affiliation of all IPUMS International data users. Applying for an IPUMS International account using a non-institutional email address can result in application denial or increased application review time. If you applied for an IPUMS International account using a non-institutional email address, I recommend re-applying using your institutional email address.
