PRESGL (Occupational prestige score, Siegel) based on updated prestige surveys?

I am interested in the PRESGL (Occupational prestige score, Siegel) variable available in IPUMS USA. Are the values in the different decades based on updated surveys about occupational prestige in every decade or is the underlying prestige information always from the original series of surveys conducted at National Opinion Research Center during the 1960s?

The values of PRESGL represent Siegel’s original prestige scores, and the scores only correspond to the OCC1950 occupation coding structure. This means that the value of PRESGL does not change from year to year and remains based on the original set of surveys from the 1960s.

I hope this helps.
