Hello,
I am using the PRCS data but am not sure how to account for complex sampling in my analysis since there are no cluster or strata variables. I will also be comparing PRCS vs ACS. How could I include these (or calculate them)?
Thank you!
Ali

STRATA and CLUSTER variables are not available for PRCS samples (in IPUMS or original public use data from the Census Bureau). The Census Bureau provides replicate weights to enable researchers to estimate standard errors for PRCS data. You can calculate STRATA and CLUSTER variables for PRCS if you plan to combine these data with ACS. To create STRATA, concatenate STATEFIP and PUMA. You can create CLUSTER as follows: 1000000000*YEAR+(SERIAL*10)+SAMPLE.
