In ArcGIS Pro, you could sum up the atom counts by block group ID across any number of rows using the Summarize Attributes tool.
We generally don’t provide more detailed crosswalk instructions because of the many variations in the specific steps required across different software packages. AI tools have also become very effective at translating high-level process descriptions (like this one on the NHGIS Geographic Crosswalks page) into specific steps in different coding or software environments. If you need more specific guidance about how to use ArcGIS Pro, I’d recommend trying ChatGPT or another AI tool, where you could feed it the high-level process description from the NHGIS site and request software-specific guidance for your particular crosswalk setting.
