Are H-2A visa temporary foreign agricultural guest workers surveyed in the ACS data? If yes, is there a way I can exclude them from my sample?
From the Census Bureau, “the universe of the ACS is the resident population. This universe includes all persons who are ‘usually resident’ in a specified geographic area.” This ACS handbook describes on page 61 in box 9.1 who counts as a resident in the ACS. Respondents are not included in or excluded from the ACS on the basis of immigration status, and there is not a way to identify specific types of visa holders in the ACS data.
